I know it sounds crazy because we’re so used to hearing all about how recruiting solves all problems, and while that is important, I’m going to share three secrets with you today that’s going to revolutionize the way you run your company and give you a new perspective.

So the first secrets is to Define your Core Ideology.
The big idea here is that your Core Ideology will be what you recruit to, retain to, and manage and train your staff to....
This is important because a business needs a solid foundation just like a house would. Imagine what would happen to a home if it was built just on dirt and no foundation. One strong wind, one strong rain, one strong earthquake and it’s destroyed. A business foundation operates the same way. Your business is susceptible to continuous factors that can destroy it, unless you’ve invested time to create a solid foundation..
This is important because without a solid foundation your brokerage will have nothing to build off of. Just like the houses we sell your brokerage should have a solid footing to exist on!
The second secrets is tracking and measuring.
The main thing to understand here is that we can’t improve what we don’t track. And we don’t know where we stand in our market, or against our competitors, without tracking. What are we good at, what are they good at? You need to know this, and it is a VERY important piece as to whether or not you will ultimately improve and become great.
Most brokerage owners don’t understand the value of tracking and measuring. Including your competitors. It will allow you to really start gaining ground on them and improving your position within your community. This then becomes attractive to other agents, almost like a magnet, that will help with recruiting.
The third secrets is Recruiting & Retention.
Are you having the success you desire with net agent growth? Do you fully understand the importance of net agent growth for your business?
The big idea here is, are recruiting and retaining agents that match who you want? Based on your core ideology? You can be great at recruiting, but lose agents out the back door if you haven’t invested the time to create great internal systems to retain them.
This is key because without Productive agents, you will struggle to succeed. Retaining the WRONG agents is not good for culture. Wrong agents can be low producers that aren’t doing enough business, OR high producers that aren’t advocates of your brokerage and don’t embrace your tools & resources.
